Dance school Weymouth

Where every child matters

Established in 2015 by Principal Becky Wells, Evolution Dance combines the worlds of
dancing for fun, performance and technical training.
Becky started dancing at the age of 3 and has loved it ever since!  After dancing through her younger years, Becky developed a passion for performing and found that being on stage was something that she thrived at and loved to do.
Becky has worked with many local companies including professional pantomimes and numerous local shows and events. After many years of performing Becky progressed by taking her talent to teaching and choreography by qualifying with the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).

After gaining vast professional experience over the last 13 years, Becky branched out by opening her own dance school 'Evolution Dance' and she delights in offering pupils the chance to experience all that dance has to offer.  Dancing for fun, confidence, discovering the excitement of performing or training to one day work professionally.

Evolution Dance is unique because it has all of these opportunities available to every pupil.
"Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion."
- Martha Graham

Being the first and one of the only schools in Weymouth where technical training, performing and dancing for fun go hand in hand,
our pupils are happy and well supported, encouraged to take part in a variety of classes across our timetable.  As a result they become  well rounded performers who develop many new skills, across the dance spectrum with plenty of opportunities and experiences along their journey with us.

We want pupils to become part of our family and we provide opportunities to all regardless of ability and experience.  Our pupils train to the highest standard we focus on inspiring all pupils to become the best performers they can be.
